Photo Recap: Midtown Community Celebrates Commercial Row Commons at Launch Party
Hundreds of Midtown residents, visitors and office workers gather in the plaza to celebrate its completion.

Midtown Alliance on August 18 officially unveiled the new Commercial Row Commons public plaza at the corner of Peachtree Street and Peachtree Place.
To commemorate the event, we invited the community out for a launch party. The event featured a 360 photo booth, live music by Akeem Marable, and food and drinks provided by Cafe Agora Midtown and Savi Provisions Midtown.
Special guests included Willie Cole, the artist who created the “Sole Sitter” sculpture in the plaza; and Alex Delotch Davis, manager of marketing and strategic partnerships at the High Museum of Art. We also raffled off a Swallow from Cracking Art, the collective who created the colorful birds suspended from the plaza’s new catenary system.

Savi Provisions Midtown, one of the businesses located right on the plaza, served cookies, charcuterie and other items it offers in its to-go-case.

Cafe Agora Midtown provided hummus, falafel, baklava and more.
Guests were invited to enter a raffle to win their own Swallow from Cracking Art.
Panels were on display at the event with details about the history of Commercial Row.
