In the early 1960s Alice Swann and Nancy (Schmale) Penny met in Concord Park, an intentionally integrated neighborhood outside of Philadelphia. The two housewives became fast friends and ended up producing and performing in puppet shows for over twenty years together. Come see how their lifelong interracial friendship forged an inspiring example of diversified perspectives expressed through puppetry arts.
