The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra is proud to announce the world premiere of R.E.M. Explored. This symphonic event opens with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra performing selections from R.E.M.’s legendary playlist (newly reimagined for orchestra) and concludes with R.E.M.’s Mike Mills performing his eponymous Concerto for Violin, Rock Band and Orchestra alongside Grammy-nominated violinist Robert McDuffie. The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will be led by Conductor Sarah Hicks with two performances on Friday, September 30 and Saturday, October 1 at Atlanta Symphony Hall.

Presented by Artist Management Partners Worldwide. The Music of R.E.M. arranged for full orchestra by Carl Marsh and David Mallamud.

This concert features a performance of Mike Mills, who is the only former R.E.M. member appearing with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. This event will not feature any other members of R.E.M.
