Block printing is one of the oldest forms of reproducing images. With just a few materials, you can make endless amounts of patterns. Printmaker Jamaal Barber will take you through creating a linocut image, from initial design and carving to inking and printing. Once your piece is finished, that's when the fun starts! Jamaal will show you how to incorporate your new image into collages, mixed media paintings, and more layered compositions.

Fees for this workshop will cover materials. Each attendee will receive a 6x8” block, Speedball lino cutter, and paper.
