Join artist Rocío Rodríguez and Wieland Family Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art Michael Rooks in conversation about the artistic process and inspiration behind Rodríguez’s work. Rodríguez is an Atlanta painter whose work encompasses drawing and painting; over the past decade, she has also incorporated wall drawings into her practice. Her work has been in over thirty solo exhibitions in contemporary art centers, museums, and private galleries and in more than ninety nationally curated exhibitions. She is a recipient of the 2022 Joan Mitchell Fellowship and the 2018 Anonymous Was a Woman award, among others.
