Atlanta, GA - The Atlanta Musicians Band, comprised of 23 members from various renowned orchestras and ensembles in Atlanta, is thrilled to announce a captivating concert showcasing the rich musical history of Atlanta. Conducted by Eric Alexander, this extraordinary event will take place on July 30 at 4pm at Saint Mark United Methodist Church, located at 781 Peachtree Street in midtown Atlanta. The concert is free and open to the public, as well as live-streamed, thanks to the generous support of the Music Performance Trust Fund and the American Federation of Musicians.

Prepare to be transported on a musical journey through Atlanta's vibrant past as the Atlanta Musicians Band performs a diverse repertoire of music written for places and things in and around Atlanta. This exceptional program will feature compositions by esteemed Atlanta-based composers, including a ragtime two-step march by the composer of the iconic "Lift Every Voice and Sing.", along with marches written for the Southern Railway (now Norfolk Southern), the Atlanta Journal (now Atlanta Journal Constitution), and the American Federation of Labor.

The Atlanta Musicians Band is a collective of exceptionally talented musicians who are members of the American Federation of Musicians Local 148-462. This ensemble includes musicians from the: Atlanta Ballet Orchestra, Atlanta Opera Orchestra, Atlanta Pops Orchestra, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Johns Creek Symphony, Greenville Symphony, Columbus Symphony, Carrollton Symphony, Rome Symphony, Russell Gunn's Royal Krunk Jazz Orchestra, Joe Gransden Big Band, The Fox Theater, Alliance Theater, City Springs Theatre, Aurora Theatre, and many more.
