Join us at MODA for guided tour of our current exhibition, Close to the Edge: The Birth of Hip-Hop Architecture. Led by MODA educator Lakeem Winborne, the tour will provide visitors with a deeper dive into the projects that exemplify Hip-Hop Architecture and the cultural movement that informs them.

Close to the Edge takes a look at the practice of Hip-Hop Architecture: a movement that utilizes the spirit and energy of hip-hop in its approach to design. The exhibition spotlights 25 designers at the forefront of the movement and shows how the four pillars of hip-hop–deejaying, emceeing, b-boying, and graffiti–translate into the built environment.
