Details
Draw inspiration from the sweeping movement in Joseph Stella’s compositions and experiment with overlapping and interlocking lines to create movement in your own drawings. Improvise within this framework by drawing or tracing reproductions of Stella’s works, using floral images as reference, or inventing your own natural forms!
In our March series of classes, draw inspiration from the organic elements in Joseph Stella’s artworks and focus on symmetry and harmony in the natural world. Led by teaching artist Larkin Ford, explore the combination of ornate, complex patterns and formal simplicity in Stella’s compositions.
All drawing levels welcome; supplies included.
Ticket includes access to the Museum.
