Explore symmetry in nature to create organized compositions of natural forms, inspired by Joseph Stella. Learn how to improvise and experiment with shapes and lines to create structure while inventing new forms and altering views.

In our March series of classes, draw inspiration from the organic elements in Joseph Stella’s artworks and focus on symmetry and harmony in the natural world. Led by teaching artist Larkin Ford, explore the combination of ornate, complex patterns and formal simplicity in Stella’s compositions.

All drawing levels welcome; supplies included.
