Join us on November 15 for Celebrating Cecil Welch as the Georgia Tech Symphonic Band and Jazz Ensemble I celebrate the life and legacy of world-renowned trumpeter and Georgia Tech alum, Cecil Welch. The Georgia Tech ensembles will be joined by guest artists, Joe Gransden and Kevin Lyons, and will perform some of Cecil's favorite tunes and arrangements.
Come hear Symphonic Band play music by Tyler Grant, Leonard Bernstein, Henry Mancini, Donald Grantham, and John Mackey. Then hear Jazz Ensemble I perform works by Sammy Nestico, Bobby Shew, Bill Liston, Carole King, Rick Hirsch, Alan Baylock, Miles Davis and Diane Schuur.
Admission is free and open to the public.
