Details
While most classical soloists rarely reach household-name status, this one has. Say the name Itzhak Perlman in almost any country, town, or corner of the world and people will know who he is, what he does, and the immense expanse of his talent. But it's not just his virtuosity with the violin that charms audiences, but rather his expressive love of playing the violin. He has captivated audiences for decades, and each time he comes to Atlanta it's a treasured experience.
With Nicola Luisotti on the podium, the concert opens with Tchaikovsky's thundering Symphony No. 4, a musical exploration of fate and its power over our lives.
