Darya Fard welcomes you to her studio, located on the ground level at DataBank. Meet the artist, see her work and hear more about her artistic practice and residency in Midtown.
Darya Fard is a multidisciplinary artist whose work examines universal connection. Fard’s artwork features symmetrical and symbolic mythical creatures inspired by Persian poetry and mythology. She combines printmaking with unconventional multi-media applications, like projection, video, sound and dance, and has recently begun incorporating scientific studies and natural phenomena relative to her work.
Darya was selected as a Midtown Heart of the Arts artist in residence via competitive application process. Her studio is sponsored by DataBank, a Heart of the Arts founding partner.
