Join Sylvia Yount, former Margaret and Terry Stent Curator of American Art at the High (2001–2007), for a timely discussion of how the museum field is embracing expanded definitions of American art, moving beyond traditional Euro-American cultural parameters to more inclusive understandings of historical and modern works by African American, Latin American, and Native American makers in broader contexts. The presentation will be followed by a dialogue with Stephanie Heydt, current Margaret and Terry Stent Curator of American Art.
