The ASO welcomes the debuts of guest conductor Matthew Halls and cellist Sterling Elliott in an all-Haydn program. The young cello phenom, who's dazzling critics across the U.S., adds fire to the genial Cello Concerto No. 2. Matthew Halls opens the concert with Haydn's rarely performed overture to the opera The Desert Island and concludes with the winsome Symphony No. 101, nicknamed "The Clock."
