Enhancements at this station are brought to you by Midtown Alliance, in partnership with MARTA and the High Museum of Art, celebrating Midtown MARTA Stations as gateways into the district. We believe that transit stations like this one present a unique opportunity to draw people together in a dynamic public space.

The Inspiration

The creative programming in the plaza takes inspiration from Spanish designer Jaime Hayon's whimsical Tiovivo, an installation of four large-scale wooden sculptures on the Woodruff Arts Center's Carroll Slater Sifly Piazza.

Temporary additions to the plaza extend the reach of Hayon's unique vision into the station area, creating a colorful gateway experience that reinforces the relationship between transit and culture. Enjoy casual seating, vibrant art, music and activities in this unique summer gathering space for the Midtown community.
