Located in the southern half of the Midtown district, Technology Square is the heartbeat of the local innovation economy and is a thriving place that attracts corporate relocations and entrepreneurs alike.
As ground zero for innovation and technology, Georgia Institute of Technology and its partners, launched Tech Square Innovation Week as a weeklong celebration that highlights the dynamic success and hub of ideation that emanates from Technology Square.
Since its inception in 2003, the celebration has grown to encompass multiple innovation showcases, summits, open houses, and even a block party. With back-to-back events that bring industry leaders and investors together, Tech Square Innovation Week will culminate at the ATDC Startup Show Case, on Thursday, May 10.

Local Startup Awarded $100K in Investment
Last night, the startup community gathered at Midtown’s TechSquare Labs for the 4th Atlanta Startup Battle – a quarterly startup competition. In front of a standing-room-only crowd, the six finalists pitched their ideas to the judges – ultimately with the startup OssPolice coming out on top with a $100,000 investment from TechSquare Labs.
What began as a small event with 200 applications has quickly grown to accept over 500 applications from 2,200 entrepreneurs. This year’s winner, OssPolice, offers a cloud-based auditing service to automatically detect open-source software (Oss) license violations in mobile apps.
Past Atlanta Startup Battle winners include Fraudscope, Cinchapi and Oculogx.
