In 1945, Alice Handel began making ice cream in Youngstown, Ohio, using fresh fruit from her garden and her own recipes. Her homemade ice cream quickly became a neighborhood favorite. Today, Handel's still honors Alice's legacy. Each batch is made fresh daily instore with the same original recipes, serving communities one delicious scoop at a time.
