Join Alana Reed cultural enthusiasts, tour guide, and volunteer for Little 5 Points as she leads us through the streets of one of Atlanta’s coolest neighborhoods! First, we’ll take a step back in time to explore the rich history of Little 5 Points (L5P). Learn about its beginnings as a Civil War-era farmland and how it evolved into a community featuring grand Victorian estates. Folks will discover how In the early 20th century, it became Atlanta's first suburban shopping district, spurred by the advent of streetcars. Although L5P faced deterioration in the 1960s and 1970s, it has since emerged as a vibrant hub for underground arts and offbeat shopping. With over 100 independent businesses, this eclectic art community is among the most diverse and vibrant in the country.
