This visionary blueprint, shaped by feedback from thousands of Atlantans, will outline the Park’s future development, including schematic designs for enhancements and potential expansion. The luncheon serves as the Conservancy’s premier fundraising event dedicated to preserving, protecting and enhancing Atlanta’s green, beating heart.
WHEN: Thursday, April 24
11 a.m. – 1p.m.
WHERE: The Promenade at Piedmont Park
1071 Piedmont Ave NE

WHY: Funds raised support the Conservancy’s work across the Park including ongoing maintenance and upkeep, programming for youth and adults, volunteer and community engagement activities and raising funds for major renovations and capital improvement. During the Luncheon, the Conservancy and the plan’s renowned designer, Thomas Woltz of Nelson Byrd Woltz Landscape Architects, will showcase plans for the Park’s future including expanding to the corner of Piedmont and Monroe, restoring and improving Lake Clara Meer, re-energizing the Active Oval, restoring the Park’s natural areas and additional Park enhancements.
NEW: The Luncheon will introduce the Seeds of the Future campaign – a multi-year initiative aimed at preserving and enhancing care for the Park’s trees. The effort includes a comprehensive inventory and health assessment of over 3,000 mature trees, the planting of hundreds of new trees, an interactive educational app and a community-driven volunteer stewardship program. Landmark Luncheon will serve as the campaign’s first major fundraising event, supporting the longevity of Piedmont Park’s trees while officially kicking off the implementation of the new comprehensive plan.
