Flock with us for an annual community tradition. August 3 marks the return of Midtown's annual lantern parade.

Elegantly weird, Parliament of Owls is a black and white owl-themed community lantern parade featuring a brass band and parade-goers marching down Peachtree Street at night. Parade attire is black and white. You do need an owl lantern to march in the parade. Please fly behind the band.

Get details on lantern-making workshops, plus free downloadable templates to make your own owl lantern or mask at home, parade route info and much more here. Owl invention is encouraged! ✨

🕗 Parade Timing: Owls flock in the Plaza at Colony Square at 8:00pm. The Parade steps off at 9pm with the Black Sheep Ensemble leading the way. The owls should be back to Colony Square around 9:45 and the Black Sheep will play until 10pm.

Check out the parade route! It's a 1.2 mile loop that will pass through the new Art Walk! MARTA Midtown Arts Station is two blocks away.

This event is just one example of how Midtown Alliance is working with arts and commercial partners to bring people together outside, in public spaces, to build community. The lantern parade is free to attend.

🦉 Parliament of Owls Lantern Parade is created by Chantelle Rytter + Krewe of the Grateful Gluttons and presented by Midtown Alliance.
